The Pigs Have Escaped Again: Growing a Horticulture Program at Highmowing School
Brad and several High Mowing (HS) students will share information about the horticulture program. They will discuss that activities and development of the program, in terms of experimental learning and integrated science curriculum. The students report feeling energized and inspired by the work and the results of that work. In addition to a hands-on experience with planting and animal care, students gain a sense of responsibility for life that is unable to care for itself, and therefore pulls them outside of their narrow views of the world.
